Woooooh... I read the article. My previous pessimistic posts here are based on the concept that intel boxes running linux would erode more of the sgi unix marketplace. But my pessimism was based on a cost of quad Xeons at 20K. Looks like quad xeons can be sold at 3K. Am I still pessimistic ???

Also number nine revolution 4 on Linux with opengl from XIG gives graphic performance that's as fast as the eye can see.
Video card has street price of 180 and opengl Xserver from XIG will cost ?? guess 300.

3k plus 480 and you have one heck of a L-unix graphic workstation.

Informed sources indicate that SGI intel boxes also run Linux.
Is this correct ???
