LJ,
I don't like him, but he gives the broad American population a "warm fuzzy" feeling- don't even know why. Sometimes that is all that is needed.

Little Joe - I trade the S&P futures contract and always keep CNBC TV on to keep in touch with the latest events.

Without exception, every time it gets close to Clinton making a speech and during his speech, the S&P futures and DOW go up.

What this indicates, I believe is that the financial markets of the top 500 companies like Clinton. Every time bad news appears to be coming out about Willy, the markets start to tank. Today was classic example, while he was giving his speech to the Palistinians, the market trended up, after it was over and the Republicans start into their thing, down come the markets.

This is really neat, because you can make money out of this intraday trading.

Based on this I would say the markets like Clinton. Obviously the performance of the economy is not his accomplishment, but the vision to get things moving after he was elected was the result of his initiative, just look at a long term chart of the S&Ps and when Clinton came into the Presidency.

I don't approve of his sex scandal, but don't believe you can deny him some credit for the state of the US economy. Had he not done what he did, the US could be in terrible shape today with the Aisan crisis.

Watch the markets between now and the end of the year through this crisis. Between now and the vote Thursday, you are going to get a tremendous bottom-fishing opportunity. After Thursday when the Republicans gang up to impeach him, everyone will then realize this is the best outcome for Clinton, because in the Senate trial it will likely not be partisan and he won't be impeached. When this is realized, markets will tear back to 10000!

You could make some der bux if you watch this.

Cheers
