Volume on Skymall is misleading. In October there were many days when volume was under 20K and the spread was a quarter or more. Then we have a couple of days when one or two million shares trade which creates an aberation with average daily volume numbers. Also, a sixteenth is a lot better than the spreads of the last few months. But I do agree with you that if you are going to day trade or anything relatively short term it would be a whole lot better if there were higher volume for liquidity purposes.
