Walter, given the list of others participating in this non-exclusive OEM feast, will Ancor have the main course, a tiny appetizer, salad or desert. I wonder how SGI will help customers distinguish among the providers of switches on the list? Enough to fill the Christmas stocking? What is your take on the significance of this announcement?

Walter,

Great find!!! It is extremely significant if it is Ancor's OEM. From an end user's perspective, I buy SGI products for specific reasons. High performance workstations and high resolution graphics come to mind. So, if I want to use this new SGI system, I would buy everything SGI recommends in order to achieve the kind of performance and throughput that was presented to me. Prisa, Clariion, Ciprico, Ancor are by-products of the package deal. Prisa's product line include Brocade switch and SGI tells Prisa to work with Ancor. Are there better endorsement than this? I think not. My argument solely depends on if in fact Ancor is the winner here.
