Jeffrey, you asked zsteve but I feel compelled to reply. AMAT price
used to track semi-equip orders until a year ago. It is now much
higher than orders can justify. Some of this divergence can probably
be explained by AMAT getting a bigger share of SEMI orders now.
I still don't see the price as a gift, but you may be right.
All you have to do is guess at the next SEMI report [out in a week]
and investor sentiment. Here's the previously posted price/orders
chart for your convenience.

For Point&Figure adherents the stock is still on a sell signal.
Conventional charts look like about 38 resistance [where the
lower green line is]. 207.95.154.130

But your gut feel may be a better indicator. I don't know.
