Ernie: Very interesting news. For those who've been arguing cable vs LEC/CLEC's, the most telling statement is:

>>''DSL technology will enable millions of homes to be equipped with high speed connections to the world's telecommunications networks during the next five to ten years by using existing telephone lines, even while these same lines continue to be used for voice telephone calls,'' said Larry Babbio, president and chief operating officer, Bell Atlantic.<<

In other words, now that they can provide high-speed transport without negatively impacting the imbedded voice plant(ie. they can still use the same lines for voice calls) xDSL is becoming more-n-more a "slam dunk." Cable better get its collective act together reeeal quick or they just might have their doors blown off as the LEC's cruise by. Of course, this is all imho. Heh! And to the extent AWRE software, etc., supports this....well....to that same extent AWRE should do well. Just be mindful the competition out there is fierce, so we can expect many market sector battles to unfold over the next year.
