I'm hoping they would but after reading what has transpired so far it looks like there's far more interest from other teams. I read today that now the Astro's are coming back to the table. Although Texas has been the most persistent. Mariners picked up Bucky Henry. Ya that's what I said. Bucky who?? Apparently he's a starting pitcher from Boston, he's been around four years but has been injured most of his career. Surely the mariners can do better than that. Your right about Piazza's defence. That's what makes me wonder how they could pay him so much. I don't particularly thing he's that good at his position. But I guess with a 320 batting average you can demand big bucks.
