*OT* CTC re your "facts" #1- You, like Jim and most other Clinton defenders continue to focus on that single barely defensible statement. The FACT is that there were several statements concerning whether he was alone with her, when he was told she was a witness, who wanted the gifts returned, etc. #2- He is NOT being charged with obstruction because he claimed executive privilege but because he tampered with a possible witness. #3- Perjury is NOT "personal conduct". And you yourself have conceded that perjury is impeachable if the House says it is. I repeat...The facts and the law are against him.

****OT***** CTC, You are wasting your time with Steven. The Republican zealots want a lynching. It is clear that these zealots need to be removed from office because they constitute the greatest threat to the republic. I think that people who are outraged by this kind of investigative abuse should band together to drive these people from office and replace them with people who are sensitive to the will of the people and who respect the separation of powers of the constitution. I am going to make a list of these people and contribute to their opponents in the next election. No president should be asked to supplicate himself before the congress. This all is coming to you from the same congress that let Newt off after he perjured himself before congress. Go Dell!
