tenchu, They dream of empire the facts say a lot less and they market pragmatically. When there was a CPU shortage they went direct to dealers who could not get Pentium II chips and they bought ibto AMD and educated themselves that AMD chips work fine, this was huge shot in the arm for AMD as that credibility and cash flow saved AMD.
I feel embarassed when jerry speaks so expansively when it is so dumb to say it. A good taste of humility and realism would have met AMD's needs far better than the crap he did say. Like crying wolf too many times. They are a flea and can be a profitable flea but they are a long way from Intel, but they can gain on Intel as tyhey are now doing when Intel stumbles.
