Hello all, Well, I finally took the time to check out the company's website. What a nice looking site! The whole turbopac concept is reminiscent of the electric turbo-supercharger that JC Whitney marketed 25 years ago as an aftermarket mod for the VW Beetle. Of course, it wasn't quite as technologically advanced as the trbd product. The concept seems viable to me, particularly on older turbodiesels. One thing I was somewhat concerned by was the voltage spike sometimes associated with large, abrupt power demands. For example, when you start your car usually most of the electrical equipment is cut out during the start to prevent damage to delicate electronics and electric motors, etc. In an aircraft you always make sure your radios are off before you start it as voltage spikes have been known to damage valuable equipment. The power demands of the Turbopac look quite high and abrupt, I wonder how your average vehicle electrical system will hold up to thousands of these "hits" over time. One interesting comment that made me chuckle from the Product Report on the website, "Although no claim is made for improved fuel economy and reduced pollution, Turbopac improves fuel economy and reduces emissions" So, what, exactly are they saying here? I read the entire annual report and took a look at the latest Q, I have to say Mr. Dent that IMO even if this product is wildly successful, this company would have a very hard time surviving.
