Well, I guess you didn't get my italic joke.<g> I agree with you about one thing as far as the thread is concerned. Basically everything as it relates to the impeachment of Bill Clinton is known, and after all this time (thank you Bill Clinton) just about everyone is sick and tired of hearing it and want to get on with it.

People differ on how to put the issue behind us. My contention is that as long as he occupies the oval office, it will never be out of the public discourse. His motivations and "iniatives" (italics required) will forever be questioned and it will always go back to the fact that this man lied so completely and without remorse that few will ever be able to have any good faith negotiations with the man.

In my business, if a business associate or vendor lied to me about something, I would immediately terminate my association with that person. I frankly don't want to waste my mental energy trying to figure out whether or not I'm getting the straight story "this time".

It is astonishing to me that this president doesn't realize (or does and simply doesn't care) the ultimate harm he is doing the nation by persisting in maintaining his hold on the office. What's more important for the country, that the president and congress and work together as much as is possible for the benefit of Americans or keep Bill Clinton in office at all cost?

He should resign. He's just not worth it.
