Thanks for the links. A few thoughts on technology.

The EMR process relies on selective absorption of microwave energy by the minerals in the rock which results in localized heating. Apparently sulphides are particularly subject to this effect and the described material, arseno pyrite, is certainly a problem material for gold processors. They report good results and the claims seem reasonable. The application of the process to our material appears to be problematical on the surface. The minerals important to the gold content are oxides not sulphides. Whether they can be processed with this method is a question yet to be answered I suspect.

The Haber material makes a lot of claims, but they provide no information about the specifics. I guess they treat them as trade secrets although there are claims for a lot of patent protection. I suppose some better information might be found in the patent applications. One can't really form an opinion from the information on the web site. Conceptually, however, the Haber solvent would face the same problem as cyanide, encapsulation of the gold particles in a refractory matrix. Therefore, it seems likely that its use would still require some kind of pretreatment to solve that problem.
