Addi,

I'm an occasional poster, and regular reader of this thread. I agree with Steve, SI is really not a forum for political debate. As for what the polls say, it really depends on who or what you believe. For example, I saw results of a poll on AOL today about this process, and roughly 62% of 100,000 actual respondents stated that they wanted Mr.C to be removed from office. Obviously, there's a lot of ways to cut the data. The bottom line is, whatever happens in D.C. the market is going to do what the market is going to do, and all can do is to weather through it.

Good luck to you.

Re: OT - Impea-chit

I've always been a fan of "let the punishment fit the crime." Impeachment should be reserved for grave infractions. To use it here makes the Republican Party look petty. They are treating the concept of impeachment much too lightly, and they are using it as some misguided political maneuver.

Oh, and getting caught lying about a blowjob does not make one into a hopeless and untrusted pariah. It's just embarrassing... to all of us.

The market is speaking volumes about the process of impeachment, not about the singular offense that brought us here.
