As usual, I am confused. SGI announces a new product, with Prisa as one of the main suppliers. Prisa was an early Brocade OEM. However, the Prisa release specifically says that stuff will be connected with "an Ancor switch," not with Prisa's own NetFX switch (which I assume is a Silkworm in Prisa clothing). Can we infer from this that SGI felt that Ancor's switch was better? Did they need Class 1? Is this MN politics working in Ancor's favor? Is Brocade's switch involved in this deal in any way? Are there, in fact, any answers to this from any of y'all more technically savvy folks out there? Maybe tomorrow we will see a PR from Ancor herself clearing up the questions. Hey, a guy can dream, can't he? the freep

tm,

Better news:

This is much better news than the original link to SGI's web site. Now we need a release from Ancor. The technical details of their faster solution wouldn't hurt either.
