Syn, you make good points regarding "others" benefiting from the STB/3Dfx merger but.....

Recall the "rumor" of S3 and NINE. This was more than a rumor and would have gone through but for bad timing. I believe we are seeing the beginning of a trend that will unite board makers with chip makers as well as "others". Certainly this trend will take time but in the end consolidation will be the only way all these players can survive.
