I agree that the response has to come more from the
local communities than from NRIs. By the time the
gangster problem becomes big enough to get serious
attention from NRIs it may be too late.

Unfortunately too many politicians are in the pocket
of the mob. I hope the press will be corageous enough
to expose these people and keep the heat on. That is
the only way out that I see.

It is easier to handle a criminal face to face. But what the extortionists do is scare you and your family with future harm at unkown time and place. This makes it impossible to fight them unless you yourself become a moving target and then track them down at an unknown time and place essentially becoming one of them

Can we get an e-mail list of all indians. I would really like to start posting this info so they are informed and hopefully concerned enuf to start talking to the powers to be.
