Morpher, I just read those rules front to back and see I need to study them very carefully. It is very confusing. I once thought the issue on selling overnight holds was that you could not daytrade the same security, but this does not seem to be the case. The issue is what buying power the account has for subsequent overnight holds, and what buying power does the account have for daytrades. It is REALLY important not to decide to keep a security overnight after having sold an overnight hold without calculating the Reg T buying power!
