How do you think the "newborn daytraders" fit into this whole thing? I'm referring to those clients of Datek, E-Trade, etc. who are becoming active traders because of the low commissions. These are the people who, correctly or incorrectly, think they can beat the market based on a system of technical and/or fundamental analysis. The number of these traders is certainly growing in leaps and bounds. I've even tried my hand at it to some degree.

Maybe the newborn traders are the ones who are making all of the purchases when the big boys are selling???
