DRRisk, have you considered that under the last two years financial situation, GF might not have had a choice but take Sheilok's money? If the floorless is indeed coming to an end (and the stock certainly seems to be finding a bottom around here) i am starting to get interested again.

Kazakhstan taps IMF loan, wins $217 mln payment

WASHINGTON, Dec 15 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund approved a $217 million payment from its three-year loan to Kazakhstan, an IMF spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

It is the first time that Kazakhstan has drawn on the loan, which was approved in July 1996 and which had so far been viewed as precautionary. IMF officials in Kazakhstan said earlier on Tuesday that the government would use the money to bolster gold and foreign currency reserves.
