Well, thank you Richie. I guess you're back at the hotel and sacked out by now, so I'll just talk to myself. Besides, I'm in no condition to argue with myself (or is it me?). <gggg>

I know that a lot of talking heads keep saying stuff like "it's not the impeachment - it's Brazil, Japan, big run-up already and earnings warnings", but none of those things have an imminent and immediate impact on the economy. The impeachment mess is the item on the front burner and is what is most influencing market action now, like it or not. Any little hint or clue as to which way things are going with this impeachment stuff will immediately move this market.

Absent any new news, we may get a pop up at the open, but I do not think it will last - just more sellers than buyers right now. Anybody here buy anything today? Didn't think so. A lot of people may have to sell here for all kinds of reasons, but nobody has to buy. Down 126 on the DOW doesn't sound that bad on the surface, but the thing's already been tanking for 2 weeks now. Broke the 200 day MVA today - always a bad sign. Money came out of tech today in a big way - equivalent of 300 DOW points! S&P declined the equivalent of 200 DOW points! Don't think we'll fall off a cliff but a steady decline in the major indices is in order until there is "certainty".

I think CPQ will hold up very well relatively speaking. Positive sign is that volume was just average today. Buyers will come in anywhere below 39. We'll just continue to base in the 41 area. Pretty boring, but it's better than taking a plunge. But hey, the people on this thread are the most patient shareholders in the world - we can wait a few more weeks.
