Thread, just so everyone is aware, some on the Dell thread have been claiming that Dell has a consistent 10-14% pricing advantage on desktop systems. I did a bit of checking yesterday and at least on this configuration, that certainly does not appear to be the case. If the leases are equivalent, then CPQ underprices Dell in that department...

Jim Kelley - Have not heard back from you concerning the Dell pricing discrepancy between
what I get for the configuration in our discussion and what you get. I know you have been
busy defending our brave and embattled President, so I ran the config again thru the Dell
'Small business' page to refresh your memory. If you can't show me how you get your
numbers, I'll have to assume the price differential between CPQ and Dell is just over 3%, not
the 10-14% you have mentioned($2129 vs $2064). For leasing, pricing looks to be in CPQ's
favor, at about 250 bucks less over the life of the lease, (71/month vs 78/month). If I don't
hear from you perhaps we will 'play' again sometime...

John

Just got home from South Korea, business there is really picking
up quite rapidly. The company i am working with is looking at Cpq
as possible vendor.
If Clinton wants a censure, then there must be teeth in it.As a South
Korean said take away all his pensions after office.Clinton is not
as trusted in far east as US news media leads us to think.
