Mattie, Clinton didn't take us down. Europe dealt with it just fine and reversed course on Monday. Clinton was a good excuse. Brazil was a factor and provided another good excuse. The market was destined to go lower and consolidate. The DOW is now down ~700 points from its all-time high and has retraced 1/3 from its ~2000 point advance. Globex says that 200 dma will hold. The S&P Globex 500 March future contract, which is considered to be an indicator for Wall Street's direction, was up 10.40 points. ''We underperformed last week and although nothing has actually happened to change basic sentiment, the market is relieved to see S&P futures going higher at last,'' a trader at a bank in Frankfurt said. ================================== I wish they would ban Globex trading.
