Hongkong Telecom Extends Contract With Advanced Fibre Communications December 15, 1998 08:02 AM PETALUMA, Calif., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Fibre Communications(R), Inc. (AFC) AFCI announced today a three year contract extension with Hongkong Telecom (HkT) for its UMC 1000 access products. The original supply contract between AFC and HkT was signed in 1996. The contract extension enables HkT to continue to deploy AFC's access platform, the UMC 1000 3rd Generation Digital Loop Carrier(TM), throughout their networks to support POTS and leased line services.
