Does anyone have any information on

what is to become of the Private Radio Systems unit that was acquired from GE? I cannot even find a reference to the EDACS product line of systems for public safety and utility radio communications systems at Ericsson's information site and rumor has it that Ericsson is looking to jettison this business. It is probably not terribly significant in terms of any total view of Ericsson, but I would be interested if anyone has knowledge of what the plans may be for this reportedly troubled unit.

Also: While the Great Debate continues ---
Ericsson apparently fully intends to move forward with
GSM++ , and EDGE.
Note that the following article indicates that EDGE is also
and enhancement to the "GSM Core Architecture".

Mardy.
