Jim,

<Lying to cover up sexual behavior simply is not a high crime that is of constitutional importance. A lot of people would consider it the correct and honorable thing to do to protect others and ones own
privacy.> Can't agree with you more on that. Actually everyone I have talked with say that they will do the exact same things under similar situation to protect his/her family and others. Clinton did lie and was wrong but his wrong doing certainly does not warrant impeachment and removal from the office.

The Republicans are going to lose big on this one. They are going to lose the control over both houses for the next twenty to thirty years. Life will teach them a cruel lesson.

jim kelley: You may think you are a strict constructionist about the Constitution. How about becoming a strict constructionist on perjury? If witnesses will testify truthfully, maybe our legal system can struggle along with some hope of achieving a just outcome now and then.

If Gerry Spence believes that lies under oath are correct and honorable, then I part company with him on that one.

<<You people are simply voyeurs...>> Excuse me, Mr. Kelley, I would prefer to know nothing about Clinton's sex life, but his conduct has made it public, not personal. What interests me is his perjury and the damage that he and his sympathizers have done to our legal system by trying to persuade all of America that there is no obligation to testify truthfully in court proceedings.

Sorry, I won't be able to respond anymore this evening.

Goodnight.
