Do you mean that people who are not elite don't vote, or that the elite among voters are liberals? And what do you mean by elite: richer, part of the establishment, degreed?

Anyway, these people must also have talked Newt Gingritch into resigning, since he gave approximately the same reason for his resignation, and felt he was responsible for creating the situation. The poor dupe. Must have been hypnotized by the liberal media. Him, and all the Republicans who fired him.

As for discussions of the "real" questions on this thread in general, my view is that the discussions themselves are repetitive, never-ending, unproductive, and for the most part pointless. It is like being in the Nietzsche Hell of Eternal Return. Or, more prosaically, it is like trying to quit smoking. You suffer, you begin to make gradual progress, you think you see light at the end of the tunnel, and then, bam! it's back to Square One again. :-(
