Duker:<<... mercifully, in this business, you have plenty of opportunities to be an idiot all over again ... the pie from which one eats will always be warm and humble ...>.

Duker, so true. Recently, when AMAT reached 46 I asked here if anyone was selling as I intended, and had always intended, to sell some of my trading shares of AMAT purchased at 26 at that level. Well.... of course, I got greedy and didn't sell. Then, when AMAT went down to 39 I intended to purchase more and.... of course, I didn't.
Now, perhaps at some not to distant time I will be able to either sell at 46 or buy at 39 but I doubt that will make me feel any better. It certainly reinforces one thing to me. When you invest whether it be long, short, put or call have a game plan and don't let your greed get the better of you.
Uh.... pass me another slice of that pie will you? Jeff
