Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, WinStar Telebase will market and provide LEXIS-NEXIS to small and medium-sized businesses on a non-subscription basis through the WinStar Business InfoCenter (www.winstar.com/infocenter) and Office.com(SM), a service from WinStar, as well as its third-party distribution partners, including: CompuServe's IQuest(SM) Legal Research Center, America Online's WorkPlace Channel, and Prodigy's Business Reference Center.
LEXIS-NEXIS is the latest addition to WinStar Telebase's growing roster of best-of-class online business information resources available on demand on a pay-per-use basis. The LEXIS-NEXIS materials to be offered initially through WinStar Telebase include continuously updated archives of case law from federal and state courts; legislative materials, such as the U.S. Code Service and U.S. Public Laws; and federal administrative and regulatory information. State and county business filings from most Secretary of State offices, county ''doing-business-as'' records, bankruptcy filings and franchise information will also be available online.
