E-commerce? ESST strives to be a solutions company.
Let's see what specific products Chan will announce
to address E-commerce. To only use fashionable phrases
like "Internet" and "E-commerce" will not carry you
very far........ If we can hear specific products
being developed for E-commerce no matter how much
software resources ESST need to use, will help Chan's
credibility a lot. Otherwise his act will be just like
his competitor. HYPE.

".....Mr. Chan continued, ''The digitalization of multimedia and the Internet are the latest industrial revolution. With our core
technologies and market presence, we are well positioned to play a key role in this revolution. This new business unit will use ESS
technologies to expand our market offerings into the Internet arena. An example of the synergies of our product line and the
Internet is our Web Browser chipset introduced last month which uses ESS' digital video and modem chips and has already been
chosen for several new designs by our customers.

''Now, starting in Asia with joint venture partners, we will offer components, systems and applications to service the many aspects
of the Internet. These new products and business opportunities will include complete systems, Internet Service Providers (ISP),
Internet Content Providers (ICP), and E-commerce. We will choose joint venture partners with complementary strengths to enable
us to expand our business in these exciting areas,'' Mr. Chan said...."
