Excerpts: "video entertainment market worth about $3B," the PC is the market of the future, games will be sold and downloaded online, typical game costs $1M to develop with 3 mo. shelf life, internet is extending shelf life and lower cost games being produced, PCs bringing whole new group of gamers, Deer Hunter cost $100K and successfully aimed at "casual gamer," Bear Stearns forecast entertainment software will reach 50% of homes with PCs next year, novices want familiar games and characters such as ones adapted from movies or books.
