Two Service Merchandise stores here in the Tidewater area of Virginia seem to do a lot of business. Their customer service stinks and most of the employees don't seem to have a clue as to why they are there. The parking lots are full though. Lots of the customers come in and barter over prices. Unusual store and situation.

Sorry to say that if SME does not sell out, they are going down for the count.

Could it be that the big runup in price and volume last week was the major brokers manipulating so that they could dump their major loads into the speculative buying?? That appears to be best guess at this point.

Rumors so far have been unsubstantiated by company.
