SOC: I bought SOC (Sunbeam) at $11 when Ron Pearlman turffed Al Dunlap and installed his own management team from Coleman. Mr Pearlman sold Coleman to Sunbeam for a share / cash deal with most of the deal being in shares (then Sunbeam was $53). He was really pissed when it turned out that Sunbeam's books were inaccurate because they had shipped goods to customers the previous year and recorded the shipment as revenue even though the customer did not have to pay until the next season.

The management team from Coleman is excellent, turned Coleman around in the a few years ago, and I expect them to do the same thing with Sunbeam / Coleman.

In addition, as part of the purchase, Mr. Pearlman is not allowed to sell his SOC shares (which he acquired at $53) for a period of time. To compensate him for the loss, and to avoid a lawsuit, the board gave him warrants to buy additional shares at $7.

I fully expect the shares to rise, at least above $7 so these warrants have some value.
