DownSouth - That's the general idea, but in fact there's a little more to the setup. The creation and administration of the data is not something which can be automated, and most 'failures' of databases have nothing to do with the OS or database engine. But I applaud the general concept, it is innovative thinking and eliminates the other major cause of failure of database servers - junk which has nothing to do with the database job taking the server down.
