Count me among the morons. I've significantly reduced my ASND position, based partially on valuation, and partly on DC's politics. Regardless of one's opinion on the matter and the man, this process is looking bitterly partisan and potentially flawed to a lot of people. Neither party will be able to ignore the precedent we are setting here or forget the way in which this process has been handled. I'm not sure I can see a happy ending here, every scenario that looks realistic points to rocky times ahead for our government, perhaps lasting until the next election, depending on how deep feelings and tempers run. Neither party appears in any mood to compromise or work together, this is liable to extend to virtually every issue on the agenda. Is this a situation that allows the U.S. to avoid a recession and help bring much of the rest of the world out of recession?
