SanDisk Appoints Mitchell Cohen as Vice President of Manufacturing

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (BUSINESS WIRE) - SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ:SNDK) announced today that it has appointed Mitchell Cohen vice president of manufacturing.
Cohen will be responsible for all production, test engineering, product engineering support, new product introduction and facilities activities. He will report to Ralph Hudson, senior vice president of worldwide operations.

Cohen's most recent experience includes three years with 3Com/USRobotics where he was director of product integrity and new product introduction. Previous to 3Com/USRobotics, Cohen spent over 17 years in various operations engineering management positions at Data General where he was most recently director of manufacturing engineering.

Hudson, said, "Mitch Cohen brings the talent and experience which will help SanDisk achieve its aggressive growth plans. Cohen's deep experience in manufacturing engineering, operations engineering and product integrity will be a valuable asset to the SanDisk management team. He will certainly be a major asset to SanDisk as we increase our output and productivity in the coming year."

SNDK needed to fill this position as the last person, unfortunately, died in the airplane crash several months ago. Thus, the company is not creating a position, but filling it.
