Why is this stock doing well lately? First, the recent STBI/TDFX merger definitely prevents DIMD access to future TDFX chips, which historically have been very profitable for DIMD. In addition, further consolidation in the graphics chip sector may prevent DIMD from any high quality chips. Second, if RIAA blesses any internet/digital music standard, wouldn't that open the flood gates from numerous powerful competitors such as Sony, Panasonic, etc. This scenario may kill any impact from Rio. This posting is not intended to be a flame. I am just puzzled by the recent stock activity here. Joel (No position in DIMD)
