How appropriate! . . . . $0.02 worth. I bought 4k shares of Petro Plus (PPV.A on ASE) a couple of years ago on the strength of it's gold (despite their name) property in northern Saskatchewan and it's participation with Claimstaker Resources in the Blackdome project in B.C. It cost many, many times what it does now but I was content to wait for the Blackdome thing (I was also an even greener rookie than I am now).

Well, the president resigned and they defaulted on their payment to Claimstaker and were turfed out of the Blackdome project. The former president's brother was still there this past summer because I phoned to see if they had any plans.

This guy said "Buy all the shares you can afford. Petro Plus has lots of assets." He implied that we'd see some news well before Xmas '98.
I'm still waiting! One thing . . . they do keep their filings current.

Here's the most recent NR on their activities, dated May 19, 1998, courtesy of Canadian Corporate News:

"Petro Plus - Joint Venture Signed on Anglo Rouyn Copper-Gold Property

LA RONGE, SASKATCHEWAN--Management is pleased to announce it has
signed a letter of intent with International Star Resources Ltd.,
whereby International Star will acquire a 50 percent working
interest in Petro's 100 percent owned Anglo Rouyn copper-gold
Property. International Star will issue 1,000,000 shares and
expend $200,000 on exploration over the next two years.

The agreement is subject to approval of both the Vancouver and
Alberta Stock Exchanges. Petro will initiate the work program as
soon as approval is granted and funds have been advanced by
International Star.
