mooter> I can't agree with you, up until now the focus has seemed to be on larger batteries, at least in NI. I can't picture them all of a sudden losing direction to this extent, it would be disconcerting to me if they were jumping from one line to another. Hopefully things are proceeding in a methodical consistent direction. duckster

More from the FRB:

Mooter, That's what I'd been thinking as well (that perhaps laptop batteries *had* shipped, and the comment had to do with the cellphone batteries). So I put a call in to the FRB to ask the question more carefully: had *laptop* batteries been shipped? Betsy (Elizabeth Truax 208-233-8323) responded, "We're officially not commenting," and again gave the "first of the year" as the shipping date. She later elaborated that they "would be shipping *in earnest* by the first of the year." So there you have it. Slooooowwwwlllyyy we're getting there. Always takes longer than ...

Also, the shareholder's meeting will definitely NOT be held on Jan. 7, since the new financing requires SEC filings to be made prior to shareholder approval. FRB could give no guidance as to how far out it will slide.

The search for the CFO continues. Betsy said Lev was "looking for a strong candidate, who would be traveling between continents, managing the finances for both the domestic and NI facilities, handling the currency issues; someone with strong management and leadership skills, someone who would be a strong second in command under Lev." The candidate "could *in time* grow into the COO position, but at the beginning the responsibilities would be confined to CFO."

Lastly, the Henderson facility *is* for sale, for reasons reported here. I asked if they would sell it before they had identified a location to move to, and rely upon their NI location alone. Betsy said, "Absolutely not," adding that they "would always maintain a presence in the States." Had they identified a particular state or region? "No, there are a handful of locations that they are considering, but no decision has been made yet."
