Re: Polls. Heard on the radio yesterday a woman who was called by a pollster re: the impeachment proceedings. She was asked 'how do you feel about the president being impeached for having sex with an intern?' She correctly pointed out to the pollster that the impeachment proceedings are over lying under oath to a grand jury, obstruction of justice, and abuse of power. The pollster hung up on her. Surprised? Hmmmmm...could this be a reason for such high #s favoring the prez?

I think that most of the 2/3rds who don't want impeachment don't understand, this includes my broker, impeachment doesn't mean removal from office. The number would be much smaller if this distinction were made more clearly by the press.

Just heard Allan Dershowitz say on TV last night that those who vote for impeachment are evil. This goes to the core of the differences between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives think liberals are wrong, liberals think conservatives are evil. This so animates liberals that they feel totally justified in using such outrageous ad hominems against the right. Dershowitz doesn't even try to engage in an honest dialogue-remember his statement in the O.J. trial that police don't testify, they testilie.

This goes along with Betty Friedan's statement today that those voting for impeachment are 'old white men...against sex...'etc., etc. Disgusting! Especially since if this were a Republican Betty Friedan and her ilk would have been on a vigil camping out on the White House steps demanding removal from office for abusing his office and exercising his power over a subordinate. But if it were a Republican he wouldn't be in office 12 mos. after the fact-the Republicans would have run him out of office.
