Did not mean to compare these companies today, since you are right about NSOL being far from a household name. What I meant was that at one time Yahoo was not known outside of a few internet users, but as the internet became more popular they became the default search engine because they were the first. If the web address business increases in popularity, NSOL would be the first and might have some name recognition. You make a valid point, though, that there may never be a "household" name in this business.

But I grant you, "Network Solutions" is about the most generic term for a company I've heard of. Ridiculous.
