I haven't seen anything to criticize but I haven't seen much of Powell. My only skepticism at this point is that military leaders from the past haven't made good presidents. What qualities do you think he possesses that make him a good candidate?

Moral leadership and political leadership in our system are different roles. Although it is possible for one person to embody both, it is not necessary. I do think that some basic character traits are necessary to lead effectively in our system, however. At the top of that list is being worthy of the trust embodied in your office by the people depending on you.
