If things go well, the people will stay with Clinton and vote for Gore to be the next President. And if things don't go well, there is always the Republican Party to blame! Either way, the party is going to get shafted in the year 2000 elections, and to give credit where it's due, some of them have realized it! Why else would they be afraid of a lengthy trial in the Senate?
