Tom, The basic thought is that the stock won't come back, not necessarily the company. Overpriced fluff like this requires investors to suspend disbelief while valuation soars. That won't happen next year, with the Y2K problem cutting business spending on IT software. And, after a couple of years of ho-hum performance, PSFT is unlikely to command the silly multiples it has commanded in the past.
