Christopher: You have a valid point. I often see material that seems to be “Copyright” protected posted on SI.

Christopher,

Legitimate news agencies have not (thus far) expressed much of a concern over their copyrighted news being posted to boards such as SI. The reason (I think) is one of economics. Copying news articles and posting links to those articles is very common and to try to stop it might be very expensive. Besides, I think they like the recognition and the exposure. They probably also get many more "hits" on their sites as well. As long as it's very clear that the material is theirs (such as Business Wire), they're not real concerned to date.

I for one have used the term "Max-Pain" point in reference to options expiration price predictions and been reminded that it is a trademark. Right here in SI.

So Ben, if you're reading this, be assured that I recognize and support your efforts to protect your trademark.
