Take a look at JJC's column this afternoon. Four raids were tried, he says, all failed.

P.S. Tried the EMC. Very tasty.

Dennis--your quote
It's always like this at a bottom. Remember 8 Octo? I shall not make THAT mistake again. I think it is essential to try and describe what it is like at tops and bottoms. For this crowd, we (and I mean WE) are MUCH better at tops than we are at bottoms. Weneed to work on this! I don't care about this bull/bear bs-- just direction. I mean this
sincerely-- we are, collectively, weak on identifying the bottoms.

I take it that you feel that we have reached a significant bottom, at least a medium term bottom, on a parallel with Oct 8 and the Djia has
2000 points to the upside? I'm not being critical, I just want to
make sure I am interpreting what you are saying correctly.

The market did have quite a nice surge today after 1 PM

Best Regards,

John

Bottoms...

On Oct 8th we thought it was the end of the world... We had several weeks of New Lows > 100 per day... We even had some days where the New Lows were 300 and 400... We are far from that right now... This is not a bottom... There is not enough fear out there yet... So, I think we have further to go on the downside...
