Yes, isn't there one democratic rep that believes there is enough evidence for a trial? Why are we so afraid of a trial? How would a trial destroy this country? I don't get it.

the media has everybody in terror of what might happen -- why?

Yep. In fact, when Nixon announced his resignation, the reason he gave was that he'd "lost his support base in Congress," not because he acknowledged any wrongdoing. There was a lot of fuss about that at the time in the media.

I think there are some senators who may have the integrity to make a similar move towards Clinton: Moynahan, Byrd, and maybe Kerry. But, unlike Nixon, Clinton has no sense of shame, and lacks any concern for anyone or anything other than himself. This process will drag on until the last vote is cast and the last drawer in the Oval Office is cleaned out. I should say, until the last stain is cleaned from the carpet.

I must say that I am really disappointed in all of the Dems on the J. Committee. It was obvious that some of them were mouthing the party line, and they had no conviction in their comments. Yet, they didn't have the guts to stand up and vote their conscience. "Perjury is not an impeachable offense." Yeah, right.
