dennis-- you arent going to like this at all.... its emotion. sure we could do a ten year, 20k page study on it, but the bottom line is emotion. irrational rallies and selloffs are part of problem. however, if we can get a good read on these trends, we can profit greatly. the only problem is...how do you quantify emotions? this bull/bear survey tries in a round about way, but not too effectively. i read somewhere that there is a high price to pay for a rosy consensus. that is the most succint way i have ever heard it put. good luck to all, trey
