on upgrade

"Warburg Dillon Read analyst Andrew Roskill set a 12-month price target of $32 a share "

dont want to sound ungrateful or unenthusiastic, but one look at the price chart... the huge gap it fell last summer from 28 to 40... and I gotta say hitting 32 and not going to 40 would be like falling down the staircase only halfway

these analysts are some of the biggest schleps I have ever seen... just read analyst reco on other stock I own, claimed FY98 earnings would be XXX, which was already eclipsed in first three quarters... big big Q4 quarter is being rung up now... then he went on to say the stock took a massive 67% hit this summer and is now recovering... it did a 3:2 split in July then fell with the market

they are cheerleaders, self-serving prima donnas, sometimes paid whores, often sloppy and overworked schleps

this middleware SCM software is exploding... the small winners are taking market share... the young and sharp companies continue to attract the best and brightest young talent... the big yet growing firms cannot attract best workers due to unfavorable stock option comparisons... only concern I have is that ITWO executives pissed off SAP in a big way... but then SAP pissed off the whole world

go I2 / Jim Willie

IRVING, Texas, Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- i2 Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITWO - news), the leading developer of e-Business Process Optimization solutions, today announced that Cooper Tire (NYSE: CTB - news) signed an agreement to purchase i2's RHYTHM supply chain optimization software. The purchase includes software for scheduling production at four Cooper tire plants, including Texarkana, AR; Albany, GA; Tupelo, MS; and Findlay, OH.

''This significant new customer, combined with the other automotive suppliers using our software, shows that the automotive supplier base is embracing improved supply chain management systems,'' said Joe Bellini, Executive Vice President Automotive and Industrial Business Unit, i2 Technologies. Other automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers using i2's RHYTHM product include Visteon Automotive Components, Cummins Engine, Yokohama Tire Corporation, The Timken Company, Donaldson Company, Inc. and Bridgestone Tire Australia Ltd.

''We have been aggressively evaluating all of our supply chain functions,'' said Bill Woeste, Director, Operations Planning and Logistics for Cooper Tire. ''This analysis led us to a partnership with i2 Technologies to implement an advanced planning and scheduling system. With its genetic algorithm technology, the system will increase our inventory effectiveness and improve customer service. RHYTHM will also help us increase manufacturing flexibility and overall productivity by balancing production across all of our manufacturing operations.''

In choosing RHYTHM, Cooper Tire took advantage of i2's Supply Chain Opportunity Assessment (SOA) program to assess its supply chain needs and identify the opportunities with the largest and most immediate return on investment. ''The SOA played a critical role in our internal cost justification process,'' said Woeste.
