They have said that they would rather see Clinton resign than have the country go through the Senate trial. There is a big difference between that and the people themselves wanting Clinton to resign.

What the people are really tired of is the inanity of this whole Republican circus. If Clinton doesn't quit and dukes it out (as I hope he will), the public will soon gravitate to him and place the blame for all this mess on the Republican Party. A day is an eternity in politics.
