Radisys(RSYS) is a direct competitor of Spectrum through its Sonitech
DSP Division. Their latest earnings statement provides a baramoter for
comparison of Spectrum's 38 Design-In's reported so far this year.
Radisys, a $100M+ in sales company reported 36 in's for the same time
period as Spectrum reported 38. The two companies definitions of an
in-win is not identical but similar enough for rough comparison. Radysis
has a $200M market cap versus Spectrum's $24M market cap.

The Sonitech division of RSYS is the equivelent of dsp section
Sonitech Division of Radisys $5 million in revenue as of last I heard. ie the dsp part of the company is tiny in comparison to Spectrum

Off the top of my head the traditional DSP board competitors are:
doe 1997
Pentek $15 million
Ixthos Division of DY-4 $12 million
Transtech $10 million (europe)
Sonitech Division of Radisys $5 million
DSP Research $5 million
Innovative Integration $5 million
Sundance $2 - $3 million (europe)
Hunt Engineering $2 - $3 million (europe)
DNA Enterprises (division of Intelect) $1 - $2 million

Total ~$60 million + lots of $1 -$2 million

The size and kind of in/win that Spectrum is working on compared to Sonitech is like comparing Gordie Howe to a kid playing IA college pucks IMHO
I have not included BWSI as some of Mizar income was for non dsp and lots of LSIs income was from Spectrum reseller agreement now gone and from what I hear BWSI continues to loose customers and revenue to Spectrum

Norden
